Has anyone found this tester ( hard to use? Step by step hoe-to-use different tests manual would be truly appreciated. Can anyone show me how to perform SPL v Frequency test using microphone?

Maybe Page 7 of the Release Notes will help. This is in addition to what you can find in the UG and Quick Start Guide. In general the tester computes and displays in real time the difference of the selected measurement and reference signal. This example shows how to compute response relative to voltage sent to the amplifier (line out is reference for ST or WTPro), speaker voltage (HiZP-V of a WTPro), current in the speaker (HiZP-A of a WTPro). Even the LoZP port can be used to drive a speaker without dragging out an amplifier, albeit at a much lower level. The new microphone compensation interface is found on page 11.

Setup for Measuring Speaker Response (and Distance)
When used in the RTA mode, in-air distance is found using a 'best fit' correlation of the measurement
and reference signals. Distance is then used to unwrap phase and bring the impulse window into the
center of the screen. If distance is unstable, increasing the microphone gain or changing the RTA signal
type can sometimes help since this changes the frequency domain energy density.
• Connect the RCA patch cords to loop back each line out->in (physically left to right)
• Connect the RCA common to your amplifier inputs
• Connect a microphone to an XLR input
• Open the TS Control window (if not already open)
• Open the Setup Control Window and select the Setup tab (view pull down or Setup button)
• Select dB(A/B) mode
• Select a Impulse, Chirp, Noise or MLS test signal
• Select MikeL or MikeR as the signal to measure
• Select LineR or LineL (opposing channel) as the reference (or HiZP-V for WTPro)
• Adjust the manual volume control. The tester is typically run at 100%
• Response is displayed in the TS Control window with distance in the real time window
• The FFT window can be used to trouble shoot signal levels
• A tweeter (> 5Khz crossover) at the tip of the microphone can be used to establish a strong
time reference. The woofer/speaker signal is simply slipped backward in time allowing it to be
'time gated' removing the tweeter response.
• Speed of sound is a calculated parameter is also contributing factor.
• Speaker Tester enabled software does not enable the HiZP port. Connect the top amplifier
driver directly to the driver.
